New things!

I’ve been beavering away like a crazy creative thing lately and am launching a whole lot of new products tomorrow at the annual Summer Fair at Michael Park Rudolf Steiner School (the school that I went to). Exciting! I’ll be doing a big shop update over at my Etsy store soon, but in the meantime, here’s a sneak peak.

First up, Matryoshka cushions…

Mini matryoshka key rings / bag ornaments…

Mini matryoskhkas on strings of beads….

Matryoshka postcards and vintage kimono cards…

Purses / make-up bags made from fabric printed with my own designs…

Kimono Felt Craft kits…

Individual packs of kimono felt…

Kimono Paper Craft kits…

Kimono Bunting Flags…

Crafty sewing kits…

Needle cases…

Strings of birds and beads…

And stamped brown paper bags ready to be filled….! :)

Hello again blogland! It’s good to be back.

Amazing, Lucy! You are inspiring. So that is work you’ve done over what period of time? I can’t wait to be able to buy those wonderful matryoshka dolls please put them online soon! They would be great Christmas gifts.

    Hi Carole

I love your work! Just had a browse through the things you have for sale at the moment at BAOStyle, and they’re beautiful. You have a great eye for interesting and unusual kimonos.

Thanks for your comments! I’ll try and get my matryoshka dolls up on my Etsy site in the next couple of days – I’m delighted you’re interested in buying them! :) Did you see my Kimono Paper Craft sets? I’ll write more about them soon on my blog. They replace my Kimono Paper Tape (which I think you bought a while back?). They’re a way for people to create their own paper tape, and make many more beautiful paper projects using vintage kimono images.

To answer your question, many of these new products have been sitting, developing in my imagination for months and months (and in some cases even years!), but I’ve actually brought them all together and designed / created / made them over a very busy period of four weeks (most recently, working mostly 12 hour days to get things finished by the deadline I’d set myself of this past weekend!). I’m definitely feeling a happy sense of satisfaction at the moment, and excitement at the next round of things I have planned!

Take care and have a great day!
    Lucy :)
